Pastor Jeff Holder

Pastor Jeff is a lifelong resident of California, born in Berkeley, and also has a home in Hercules, CA, though he currently serves and resides in Oakdale.  He is a licensed United Methodist Pastor and has received his master’s degree in Divinity from The Claremont School of Theology. He has been serving Community United Methodist Church since 2017, and loves the community of Oakdale.  He also serves on the board of directors of The U-Turn Project and the board of the Oakdale Rescue Mission. 

Karly Schamp

Meeting Facilitator

Karly Schamp, wife of Miki, also grew up locally.  She has been clean and sober since 2018, following open heart surgery, a pivotal time in which she seriously considered her own mortality.  Following her recovery she began to follow a Christian path, which she continues to do today.  She has a strong sense of servanthood through serving those in our community.  Raising a child with husband Miki, holding down a full-time supervisory job, and serving as a group leader for the Hand in Hand meetings, keeps her fully occupied. She has also worked as an EMT, and has an associate degree in Criminal Justice from San Joaquin Jr. College.  She takes great daily inspiration from Philippians 4:13:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
